Only a fraction of the V&A's two million wonders are on public display. But in "Secrets of the Museum," we explore the museum's vast collection, uncovering a universe of art, design, and performance. Cameras are granted exclusive access, venturing deep into the museum's stores to unearth forgotten treasures and witness the arrival of the latest acquisitions.

Prepare to be captivated by the stories of the V&A's dedicated experts and conservators, premiering in April 2023 on Global Trekker. This team tirelessly safeguards and showcases this "treasure trove of Britain's favourite objects.

We’ll witness their meticulous work as they breathe new life into fragile marvels, unearth hidden histories, and ensure the past remains vibrant for future generations.

It felt like an opportunity to make a different kind of documentary series,” he said. “So we will be focusing on the secret life of the objects themselves and the work that is going on unbeknownst to the millions of visitors who go there. We are trying to take people to a world that you would never see as a visitor.”

"Every object tells a story," the series proclaims, and each episode will spotlight the V&A's experts at work. Many of these objects are fragile and exceptionally rare, presenting unique conservation challenges at every turn. Through the lens of the V&A's world-leading team and their daily routines, the fascinating history of each object will be unveiled.
