Providing a Multisensory Dining-out Experience to those Dining at Home during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many restaurants to close, leading to an increase in high-end restaurants offering take-away food or home-delivery meal kits. This has raised concerns about where the meals are being prepared, and how to capture the fine-dining experience for those eating at home. The emerging field of gastrophysics research is tackling this challenge, and by analyzing high-end food delivery options, promising directions for optimizing the at-home dining experience have been identified.
